Do you like to be in the vicinity of a lover boy who is constantly romancing his girl on phone ? if your answer is no, then we both share the same feeling. Now, i am in a similar problem. It is true, the saying – habit always win the war between nous. why do lovers mind feelings of others in their proximity ?
yesterday, i made frew mp3s from youtube files, making use of the website called www.flv2mp3.com.

I been asking and searching for Flaxseed, a grant antioxidant, for almost 2 years till date. Eventhough India is the land of ayurveda and other parallel forms of treatments, i just couldnt find this “magic” seed anywhere in south INDIA for the last 2 years. I been asking about Linseed/Flaxseed/Alsi to everyone, from shopkeepers to ayurvedic doctors and traditional yogic gurus. None knew about it. It was like only internet and its pages have information about Linseed/flaxseed.
Ignorance of local name of flaxseed also made it difficult to track it. I even thought of printing the picture and taking it to the shopkeeper at one stage. Finally, a random google search yielded fruit – its local malayalam name is cheruthana vittu ! But sadly, even after getting its local name, this guy was total stranger to the local shopkeepers and health store managers and more frustratingly, to the ayurvedic doctors and acharyas.
After long exhausting investigation, i finally tracked mr. Flaxseed in Nuts-n-Spices store in Chennai. But I couldnt buy it from chennai as i dont have a relative or friend in that cosmo city. Nuts-n-spices people gave me information about some of the health stores in Bangalore, where i have few friends.
Some one month ago, i send a group email to my buddies in Bangalore enquiring about flaxseed/alsi. One of them, finally tracked it to one of the health store called Nilgiris. Suddently, information from bangalore revealed that flaxseed is available in most of the health stores and supermarkets there.
finally, after almost 2 years, i received a courier from my friend with 2 packets of flaxseed worth 500 gm. Hurray, finally, i got it.
I blame communist parties for not allowing gaint supermarkets from entering kerala. I think it is a very stupid thing to do to the people of the state. They have to rely on other states to search for products which are not available in the traditional markets in the state.
asklaila.com also helped me immensely in the search for flaxseed. I think it is a very useful site.
some more facts: Flaxseeds are an excellent source of omega-3 essential fatty acids. They are a very good source of dietary fiber and manganese. They are also a good source of folate and vitamin B6 as well as the minerals magnesium, phosphorus, and copper. In addition, flax seeds are concentrated in lignan phytonutrients.

I had my second clinic visit to Yogiraj skin clinic yesterday. Eventhough I decided to go to the clinic yesterday, morning brought lot of pain and sufferings with it. At certain point, it felt as if i wouldnt be able to go to the clnic for my biopsy result. Finally, dad called his friend and asked for his car and we all went to clinic, which is some 150 km from my home. Pain and uneasiness with skin continued till we reached the clinic. Travel was complicated with my diarrheal and motion sickness problems.
We started at 9 am from my home and reached clinic by about 1.30 pm. Travel was marred with sufficient amount of traffic jam too which is increasingly plaguing my small state.
Biopsy result was a big surprise to me. Well, to put it in another way, it really took me by shock. My biopsy showed I have psoriasis. For the past 5-6 years, i have seen some 10-11 doctors in a variety of hospitals. All those doctors told me i have eczema. Now, all of a sudden, a skin biopsy tilted all their diagnosis into a false one.
Anyway, Dr. Yogiraj prescribed medicines for me for 2 weeks and followup is scheduled after 2 weeks.
A day after my second clinic visit, i am feeling better for now. I hope this sort of recovery continues. I am currently on heavy dose of anti-itch, antibacterial and steroid medications. Also, i am bathing in potassium permagnate solution, which is said to be a good antimicrobial agent, and after bath, i need to annoit myself with liquid paraffin solution to hold moisture content in my skin. Eventhough, all these procedures have some uneasiness and irritation with it, it surely have positive effect.

as a result of severe itching, exfoliation, and leg edema with oozing, i decided, finally, to go to the skin clinic – yogiraj’s clinic in Pattom, trivandrum. After a hazardous bus journey, we reached trivandrum by around 1 pm. There we first took our registration – 250 IRS – and had to wait for about 1 hour for consultation. Making use of the extra hour, we went out to have our lunch. After walking for about 10 minutes we found a restaurent with BAR attached. Although we dont drink, we decided to go there and have our lunch. Restaurent was dim-litted, an ideal place for a candle light dinner with a date. We ate our lunch surrounded by tables where people having their afternoon pegs. On a bill of 85 IRS, we tipped 10 IRS [which is more than the standard 10% tip ! ]. After refilling our bottle of drinking water, we decided to walk back to yogiraj’s clinic. At around 2 pm, we were called up for consultation. Just before that I made a terrific discovery – old medical records got drenched by water-bottle leakage !
During consultation, Dr. Yogiraj [ who turned out to be a soft-natured guy with ample patience] prescribed blood test for IgE and a skin biopsy. I hope my parched skin made a impression on him. Consultation got over within 10 minutes. [ Once, in my town, i went to a skin doctor whose consultation went on for about an hour-and-half ! ] During consultation, doctor ran over my skin with something like a fluresent lamp. I wonder for what he did that. Anyway, after consultation, i was taken to have my blood test for IgE. I was told it was done for checking my allergic factors. A positive in that will reiterate my atopic condition. IgE blood test cost IRS 250.
After IgE test, I was taken to the second investigation room, where i was checked for any allergic reaction to the anesthesia and then I underwent skin biopsy. I didnt even felt any prickling pain. Doctor Miss. Gopinath kinda done it cooly. I was initially very uneasy about the idea of getting anesthetic injection. Skin sample from the process looked like a screw-shaped thing to me. After biopsy, doctor had an information session where she told me about the importance of protein in my diet and also, suggested some sources of protein. Idea of having protein powder twice a day struck me particularly. Also i find the idea of bathing in rice starch water particularly amusing. After the information session, we paid 1000 IRS for biopsy and got out of yogiraj’s clinic.
We made a short bus journey through the TVM town to get to the Railway Station where we found our train [with plenty of vacant seats !]
PS: Yogiraj Clinic’s phone number : 91471-2444315, 2554545

Day started as continuation of yesterday – dry and flaky skin – itching and scratching – life at its lowest possible bottom. Morning gave way to afternoon with no change in my skin condition. In the evening, my cuzzin, a doctor himself, came up for a visit and we discussed the problem. We have discussed it many times before. He wanted to take me to the skin clinic for a thorough skin test, but i resisted as i kinda am very sure that my problem hinges mainly on fungus. Finally he relented and agreed to put me on antifungal tablets, more powerful than antifungal creams, for 4 weeks. I promised to go to clinic if my condition didnt get better after this course of treatment. For now, i think i am feeling well after having a conversation with him. In the afternoon, i had a tiff with my dad who accussed me of not taking my treatment seriously. Currently, I have scurfs/flaky skin on my forehead making me stay inside of house. hope for a better tomarrow..

One of the lowest days of my life. Slept through most hours of the day. I just cant find an ounce of energy – its like someone drained me out of whole energy. Full body itch returned with full vigour. Body was dry – parched. Wonder why this happens. Body is covered with scurfs – loose skin – making it more itchy. I tried various kind of emollients and oil – but they miraculously dry up and body returns to the dry state within minutes – covered with scurfs. Finally, i pasted myself with Oil and put on shirt and pants fully covering my arms and legs. My search for linseed/flaxseed oil and Tea Tree Oil fell flat with no results. Its pathetic that eventhough i live in the land of ayurveda and still i cant find a source to some herbs i need. World has suddenly gone colourless. Face is scurfed up too, with scurfs covering whole my forehead and eye lashes. Wonder whats installed for tomarrow…

He needs an eye test. Once again Mr.Benson played well to give Australia the upper hand. Shiv Chanderpaul declared LBW inthe 5th day of the 3rd test match between Australia and West Indies. Mark Benson was one of the umpires in the controversial sydney test match between India and Australia. Some of his decision then were very dubious, giving the champion team an unfair advantage in the critical stages of the game. In the 2nd match of this series, ugly incidents repeated with umpire Russell Tiffin routing for the champion team crushing West Indies’ chance of dominating the match.
It is nice to see that finally ICC comes up with the 3-time appeal system similar to what international tennis is using. Now for the first time, batsmen can ask for reviewal of his LBWs or other dubious decisions. I think it will be a revultionary change in the field of cricket. I wish in future they will provide 3-appeals for the fielding teams too. That will defenetly bring JUSTICE to the very temperamental and competitive mileu of test cricket – a change for good

im very nostalgic, heavily nostalgic if i somehow wander into streets near my old school. A lot of memories rockets into my brain – sweet memories. I am very sure that most nostalgic people dreams someday they can revisit those happy times via a time machine or something similar. Talking about school, one of the most important thing in a lower class is your handwriting. Handwriting was the chief indication about a child’s intelligence. It was considered that if someone is brainy and smart in class, his or her’s handwriting will be the cutest. Although every teacher and most of the girls go by that theory, i am sure most boys thought that was codswallop. I personally had one of the ugliest handwriting in my class. My brother who was brilliant in academics had horrible scripting abilities too. Most of my friends had bad handwriting [i never had a friend who was girl]. As i grow up, i found that most of the brilliant minds – be it be a town doctor or world’s greatest minds – had very bad handwriting ! i wonder handwriting copies the pace of the brain at which thoughts are managed in its lobby..no kid should be forced to write beautifully – he or she should follow his brain !

I am sleep deficient. Usually, I sleep during early hours of the day. Lately, I been only sleeping for 3-4 hours daily. I know it is not good for health, still for some unknown reason i am continuing with it. One of the prime reason for sleeping during day hours is my internet connection. My internet provider has provided me with free browsing hours from 2 – 8 am. So in order to take maximum advantage of that – i usually postpone my sleep I use internet for watching US sitcoms [since my cable dont show any US sitcoms anymore] and sex. I also use yahoo messenger to keep in touch and google for information. The free browsing hours between 2-8 am is my chief time since that is the time where i can view videos for free. I think either i should change my habit of sleep or i should change my internet connection scheme to re-regulate my sleep and biological clock..
After playing with herbs and moisturising agents for weeks, Today, I went to the local drug store and bought terbinafine, the most premier antifungal agent. Now that i bought the cream, i wonder why i didnt buy it earlier – especially when i know that terbinafine is sure to work against fungus.. I think the reason behind excluding terbinafine from my fight against fungus is mainly because of the high price of the drug. My search for Tea Tree Oil went no where, majority of the herbs keepers havent even heard of that name
Computer first came to our house in 1997, almost 12 years ago. I still remember the verve with which i used to play Mario with my first computer – ahh..those good old days. My brother [chiefly] and me successfully zeroed the idea of computer to our dad’s head. The computer which i am using now is our second computer, since the first computer ran out of steam some 2 years ago. Eventhough, computer has become a permanent member of our household since 1997, my dad and mom dont know much about it. They still find it difficult to operate it. For their defence, they dont have much practical use of computers. My mom knows how to use yahoo messenger as she used it prolifically when my brother was in USA for about a year or so. My dad can work on Microsoft word since he runs a DTP center and he loves typing. Apart from that, they kinda always depend on me or my cuzzins for other uses of computers like booking a ticket or copying a hit song..
In the evening, I saw a news thread on one of our prominent news channel about UFO. Report goes on to say UFO allegedly hit a romanian fighter plane. Story goes on to show a big achieve of UFO reports starting from pre-world-war stories. No government in the world have given green signal to UFO existence till now, i wonder what prompted Romanian government to come up with this kind of story. Interestingly, this new UFO story hasnt evoked much passion or mass hysteria. I think world is getting more and more sceptical about all this UFO stories circulating left, right and through the middle every other day.
my room is the hottest, warmest room in my house. I wonder why. Maybe it is because i hardly open my windows to allow good air circulation. I wonder how can one increase coolness or humidity of one’s room without buying a cooler. [i dont even know how much a cooler cost or how much electricity it eats while in action]. Maybe hot and humid mileau in my room is chief reason for my eczema and itch..

Today i had a rummage of my town’s drug stores for TTO [tea tree oil]. I been to all kinds of chemists, herbal guys and malls with zero result. None of them have even heard of Tea Tree Oil. Fact that i dont know the local name of TTO made it doubly difficult. I dont even know whether there is any local name for this Australian plant. Maybe i should ask my Australian-online friend to send me a tree sapling…lol.
Searching for TTO was a pleasant experience eventhough i didnt find it. Weather was cool with onset of monsoon. I also stringed visits to brolly repair, herbal shop, and went to mobile shop to enquire about a new connection.
One of the luckiest thing about todays foray into city was that i came across a new skin product in the mall – a sandal based cream. I bought it with the money left with me after my shopping. I applied it to my forehands, early results are quiet encouraging. I hope it wont pan out to be allergic to me. That was the case with petroleum jelly. It didnt show any reaction on the first day, but pustules began appearing on the subsequent days making me to take course of antibiotic. Skin is the biggest organ in human body and it is very difficult to deal with, especially if ur skin tone is dry.
